Domestic Violence and Executive Dysfunction

May 4, 2008 | By Robert A. Yourell, MA | 3 Comments

Executive function has big implications for the design of domestic violence programs. It is important to know the subtypes of batterers because different subtypes have different needs for treatment, and different levels of intervention that are necessary to ensure safety. They are living in a "harvest and discard" world, where people are harvested and discarded. And there were still more people experiencing this through outsourcing and corporate flight into other lands. There was no fealty to the citizens that birthed and maintained these corporations; the numbers spoke louder than the employees.
