Jo Ivey Boufford, MD

Jo Ivey Boufford, MD, serves as President of The New York Academy of Medicine. She is one of the nation's foremost experts in the field of urban health. She previously served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health in the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and on the Executive Board of the World Health Organization. She holds a BA in psychology and MD from the University of Michigan and is board certified in pediatrics.
