A new battle has been waged on Capitol Hill surrounding the much-debated legalization of medical marijuana. As research continues solidifying the positive effects of using cannabis to treat certain clinical symptoms, some research is focusing on the possible effects it may have on treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
In an effort to appear pro-active in pushing for stronger gun control legislation, some opponents to stricter gun laws, as well as some political leaders, have turned the spotlight on mental illness as a primary concern surrounding mass shootings. But is this focus misplaced?

The bill was also surrounded by as much support, honor, and celebration.
