Deborah Brandon, PhD

Deborah Brandon, PhD, is a professor in the Mathematical Sciences Department at Carnegie Mellon University. She is a mother, an author, a public speaker, and a respected textile artist. Deb is also a brain injury survivor. She has written two books: “But My Brain Had Other Ideas: A Memoir of Recovery from Brain Injury,” where she tells her story of her journey towards reclaiming her life, and “Birth and Rebirth: Textile Techniques from around the world,” is forthcoming (Schiffer Publishing).
