They became daily at age 21-22, and unbearable at age 29. I was addicted to codeine. Then I went to the Baltimore Headache Inst. at John's Hopkin's at age 31. They prescribed a cocktail of Depacote, a Beta Blocker and some others which at least allowed me to function, but I gained 50 lbs. on the Depacote=making me a totally different person!!!! Then I went through menopause, which was a like having my overies out! NO HORMONES, I remember being told by the Baltimore H.A. Inst. You see, I had to move to live with my mother after my father passed away. I WAS MISERABLE! The headaches were back in full force and had had gone off Depakote. I now take Nortrptyline 40mg (old stand-by) Topomax 60mg 30am 30pm (worthless) Tranzine 1/2 15mg if needed lorazapate 1mg 3x and Clonadine tabs .1 YES these work beautifully = until I started needing to up the dosage. I get NO side effects I have naturally low healthy blood pressure all blood work a-1 but with a low Vitamin D level=corrected and CCL Leukemia which I have brought the #'s down through thought and diet mostly thought. The HA are the only thing I have not been able to work with. I have cured a toenail fungus through I don't know = thought, a bone spur thing they said must be operated on, nope I got rid of it through thought? It IS the DAMN HA. They are not mere migrain. I have cluster, tension, migrian, they called it mixed HA Syndrom 30 yrs ago. Who Knows??? I've lived 100 life times within this one I just hope I go fast!!!!!
